Liver and SPK Transplantation Programs
Hospital Privado Universitario de Córdoba
I am a transplant surgeon from Córdoba, Argentina. I graduated in medicine at the Catholic University of Córdoba in 1995. I subsequently did a residency in General Surgery from 1996 to 2001 at the Hospital Privado Universitario de Córdoba. After obtaining my ECFMG certificate, I completed a surgical fellowship in Liver, Pancreas and Kidney Transplantation at the University of Michigan Health System (Ann Arbor, MI) from 2001 to 2003. I then returned to Argentina and developed the SPK and Liver transplantation programs at the Hospital Privado Universitario de Córdoba, which I have been leading ever since. The SPK transplant program is the second in case numbers in Argentina and the liver transplant program is one of the busiest in Argentina. Since 2020 I have been leading both the SPK and Liver Transplantation Programs at the Hospital Córdoba - Ministry of Public Health of Córdoba, being the SPK transplant program the only one active in the public medicine system in Argentina. My medical practice completes with HPB and General Surgery at the Hospital Privado Universitario de Córdoba. I teach surgery at the Catholic University of Córdoba and at the Universitary Institute of Biomedical Sciences of Córdoba.
