Description

This symposium, sponsored by Astellas, will provide a multidimensional perspective on improving organ transplant outcomes in developing countries in a post-pandemic environment. Dr Oscar Imventarza of the Garrahan and Argerich Hospitals, Argentina will give an overview of the barriers to organ transplant in developing countries and discuss how the COVID-19 pandemic impacted the organ transplant landscape. International speakers, Professor Dirk Kuypers and Professor Teun van Gelder will outline management strategies in cost-constrained settings and provide practical advice for optimizing immunosuppression in organ transplant patients for better long-term outcomes. The panel will then be open to questions from the audience.
