Description

Dr. Atul Humar, MD, FRCPC, from the University of Toronto along with Dr. Clarisse Martins Machado, MD, PhD from University of São Paulo, will lead a 20-minute session on post-solid organ transplantation complications caused by cytomegalovirus (CMV). Dr. Humar will present a case study highlighting the challenges of diagnosis, treatment, and post-treatment care. There will be a special focus on identifying and treating patients with refractory CMV. The objectives of this session are to practically identify potential refractory cases earlier with available resources and understand if there are any patient benefits in identifying refractory cases earlier. Following Dr. Humar's presentation, interactive questions will facilitate the discussion with the speaker and audience members. Join us to learn more about identifying and treating patients with refractory CMV.
