He graduated in Medicine at Buenos Aires University (1991) and performed a General Surgery residency (1992-1996), and Liver Transplantation and Hepato-Pancreatic-Biliary Surgery fellowship (1996-1998) at Hospital Italiano of Buenos Aires, Argentina. He moved to Switzerland to become the Chief of Liver Transplantation and an HPB surgeon at the University Hospital of Zurich (2003-2006). Finally, he moved back to Argentina to become the Chief of Liver Surgery and Abdominal Organ Transplantation at Hospital Aleman of Buenos Aires (2006- today). He has an Executive Master’s degree in Business Administration at IAE Business School of Argentina. He is the founder and President of the Argentinian Foundation for Liver Cancer; is Associate Professor of Surgery at Medicine School of the University of Buenos Aires; Board-certified by the European Board of Surgery Qualification (EBSQ) in Hepato- Pancreato-Biliary, and Fellow del American College of Surgeons.
